Polar Bears - Dog Sledging - Eskimos and the Tundra buggy
Visit the Polar Bears and stay on the Tundra Buggy® lodge. This program is designed for those who wish to visit Churchill to not only see the polar bears, but also to experience the history and culture of the region, led by very knowledgeable guides, Enthusiast program itineraries include activities other than polar bear watching, such as a town and area tour, entrance to the Eskimo Museum and Parks Canada facility and a private slide presentation.
Day 1 -
Arrive Winnipeg

Morning flight from London Heathrow to Winnipeg via Toronto. Overnight at airport hotel.

Day 2 -
Arrive Churchill
|
|
Early morning flight to Churchill. Depart for the town and area tour, and visit the Eskimo Museum. Evening visit to the Parks Canada Interpretive Center. Overnight Churchill hotel.

Day 3 -
Dog sledging - Arrive Tundra Buggy Lodge
|
|
There is free time during the morning to explore Churchill at your leisure. In the afternoon take part in the dog sled program. Transfer to Buggy Launch and begin your exciting trip to the Tundra Buggy Lodge. Enjoy a slow trek to the lodge, watching for wildlife along the way. Overnight at the Tundra Buggy Lodge.

Day 4 -
Polar Bear Watching
|
Your next two days will be spent out on the tundra buggy. After breakfast, you will head out on the Tundra Buggy, away from the lodge, searching for Polar Bears and other wildlife. Evenings will be spent enjoying delicious home cooked meals, watching video/slide presentations and socializing. Watch the night sky for the Northern Lights. Overnight at the Tundra Buggy Lodge.

Day 5 -
Polar Bear Watching
|
The Tundra Buggy Lodge is comprised of specialized modules that, when linked end to end, stretch almost 100 meters long. The Lodge consists of two sleeper cars (housing 18 and 20 guests respectively), the lounge, dining and utility cars. While on the Lodge during the evening guests are encouraged to utilize open decks between cars to experience the polar bears and northern lights (weather permitting).

Day 6 -
Tundra Buggy Expedition
|
After breakfast, the group will depart the lodge, participating on the last Tundra Buggy expedition, meandering slowly along the way. Upon arrival at the launch, you will be transferred directly to the airport. Evening flight back to Winnipeg, overnight at an airport hotel.

Depart Winnipeg

Return flight from Winnipeg to London Heathrow via Toronto.

Arrive London Heathrow
